Discovering Space, New Deep-Sea Species, and Ancient Figurines.

There’s a wave coming.

Every week - a new AI milestone hit, a new robot unveiled, a new cancer drug created.

The world is starting to accelerate at an exponential rate and we’re just at the beginning of this rocket ship ride. The life you live won’t be the same life you live ten years from now.

Children will have Albert Einstein as their own private tutor AI.

The elderly will extend their life span and even reverse aging.

We will take our families on trips to see the edge of space.

So ask yourself this important question:

“What am I doing to best position myself for this upcoming wave?”

What’s On The Menu?

  1. Space balloons that will take you to outer space.

  2. New deep-sea species discovered by the hundreds.

  3. Brain cancer of 13 year old cured for the first time in world history.

  4. Gourmet lab-grown meat dishes by various restaurants being served.

  5. Thousands of ancient figurines unearthed in Egyptian tomb.

First Crewed Flight in a “Space Balloon” to the Edge of Space.

TL;DR:

Florida-based aerospace company Space Perspective has completed assembly of its first pressure vessel, a test capsule of Spaceship Neptune, set to offer luxury balloon rides near the edge of space.

The first trial flights are expected to take place this year, with hopes to begin flying people to the edge of space as early as the end of 2024.

The spaceships will provide large viewing windows, a spacious interior, and a journey complete with a bar and bathroom facilities.

So what…?

Soon, space travel will be as ubiquitous as air travel.

The space balloon method may open up the landscape of space tourism by making it much more attainable and without the physical exertions associated with rocket launches.

Scientists Photograph Hundreds of Never-Before-Seen Deep Sea Species.

you’re gonna turn me into sushi, aren’t you

TL;DR:

Scientists from the Schmidt Ocean Institute expedition discovered over a hundred previously unseen sea species by exploring seamounts off the coast of Chile.

The discoveries, made using an underwater robot, include deep-sea corals, glass sponges, sea urchins, amphipods, and squat lobsters.

The expedition led to the discovery of four new seamounts, each harbouring unique ecosystems; work is now underway to formally identify these new species.

Big whoop, and…?

These discoveries have greatly expanded our knowledge of marine biodiversity, highlighting the value of continued deep-sea explorations for scientific research and conservation efforts.

They also might be tasty.

A World First: 13-Year-Old Child Cured of a Deadly Brain Cancer.

TL;DR:

A 13-year-old boy, who was diagnosed with a deadly form of brain cancer called brainstem glioma at age 6, is now tumor-free.

He is the first person to be cured of this particular cancer, partly due to an extremely rare mutation that made his cells more responsive to a cancer drug in a trial called BIOMEDE which tests potential new drugs.

While others on the trial survived for years, only his tumor completely vanished, and studies are ongoing to understand the peculiarity of his case and if it can help to understand effective treatments.

Who cares…?

This breakthrough signifies hope for a currently grim prognosis for this cancer.

If researchers can understand why the patient’s cells were more responsive to the treatment, it opens up potential avenues for creating more effective treatments for others.

Six-Course Banquet Featuring No-Kill Dim Sum and Foie Gras.

TL;DR:

Several cultivated meat companies have cooked up classic gourmet meals using their lab-grown meat to entice consumers of the alternatives.

Dishes such as beef-cultured rice, foie gras from duck cells, cell-cultivated chicken, xiao long bao dumplings with cultivated pork fat, pulpa a la Gallega with synthetic octopus, fake steak tartare, and even ice cream made with manufactured caseins for dessert.

Why does this matter…?

As ethical, health, and environmental concerns grow, lab-grown meat and dairy could be a game-changer in the food industry.

It offers a sustainable, cruelty-free alternative of traditionally sourced animal products, drastically reducing the environmental impact and improving animal welfare.

Archaeologists Unearth Thousands of Figurines in Ancient Egyptian Tomb.

TL;DR:

A recent discovery of thousands of rare Ancient Egyptian shabti dolls, believed to provide assistance in the afterlife, was discovered inside a tomb in Egypt.

Unlike similar finds, this was a large and unexpected hoard, with a complete set of the figurines found intact.

Their historical relevance dates back to the Middle Kingdom of Ancient Egypt, approximately 1050 to 1650 BC.

And that means…?

This discovery offers key insights into the burial practices and beliefs about the afterlife of one of history’s most advanced ancient civilizations and could potentially rewrite our understanding of the cultural and religious practices of Ancient Egyptians.
